Bana Mutibwa commonly known as Burney MC was Born Walakira Richard in 1989 at St. Francis Hospital in Nsambya – Kampala, Bana is a Hip Hop activist who raps and talks for Hip Hop in Uganda. The Music and entertainment Young Achievers Award winner is also member of the Luga Flow Army, a rap group that fronts and protects the uniqueness of rapping and emceeing in local languages. Burney MC about the song: "Walk to work was a campaign started up by a group of activists in Uganda after the 2011 elections as a form of protest, but the government contended that these walks constituted an unlawful assembly and responded by deploying security forces to disperse protesters. its the biggest and the worst protest in history of Uganda, This was an attempt to appeal to mass anger over deteriorating economic and social conditions."
